In 2001, Mattel was struggling to connect with the younger generation. Day by day, Barbie seemed to be losing relevance with children. Mattel took a risk to regain its audience and made its first animated movie, Barbie in the Nutcracker. The film featured Barbie as an actress, playing the classic role of Clara. It was a hit. To this day, there are 43 movies in Barbie’s animated franchise.

This park will demonstrate Barbie’s cinematic legacy, from her 2001 animated debut to her 2023 live-action blockbuster.

Mariposa Restaurant

Mariposa is a 2008 Barbie movie about a little fairy named Mariposa who, with her friends, has to save her queen and the kingdom.

This restaurant would be the premier dining experience in Barbie World. It would mainly be a nighttime dining experience. Character meet and greets, special effects, and a fireworks spectacular would all be a part of the experiences available at the restaurant.
