This project is a conceptual adaptation of the 2013 Spike Jonze movie, Her. The play will follow Theodore as he develops a relationship with an AI program named Samantha. It explores love in the age of technology and what being a human means. This specific design plays off of the aesthetics and visual style that the original production designer K.K. Barrett developed.

Overall Concept
The world of Her has a very unique visual style. It is a beautiful mix of speculative and retro design. The play is set in a retro-futuristic version of LA. It is warm, colorful, and there is a strong emphasis on playing with color and light.
